Phishing attack targets Trezor users via support form

07.07.2025
Trezor, one of the leading manufacturers of hardware wallets for cryptocurrencies, has warned about a targeted phishing attack carried out through the contact form on its official website.
Hackers submitted support requests pretending to be legitimate users. This triggered the automated response systеm, which sent replies from Trezor's official email address. Following that, the attackers sent a fake message disguised as a continuation of the support conversation. These emails could contain malicious links or requests for sensitive information.
Trezor emphasized that its internal systems were not breached — the attackers simply exploited the automated form, which has already been secured. All wallet functions and user data remain safe.
The company also reminded users of a key rule: never share your seed phrase — not even with someone claiming to be from support. No official Trezor representative will ever ask for it, and any such request should be treated as a scam.
The exchange service 2rbina.net reminds users: to stay safe when working with cryptocurrencies, it is crucial to follow basic digital security rules. Always verify the sender’s email address — even if the message appears official, scammers are skilled at imitating legitimate communications. Two-factor authentication should be enabled for all key services.
It’s also important to regularly check for fraud alerts on the websites of wallet providers, exchanges, and services you use. In the world of crypto, security depends not only on having a reliable device or exchanger but also on staying vigilant and paying attention to the details.
