Algorand helps India become Web3 hub

29.03.2023
The Algorand Foundation has announced the launch of its new project, AlgoBharat, which seeks to support India's transformation to a Web3 innovation hub. AlgoBharat will focus on utilizing blockchain technology to serve the needs of the world's most populous country, India.
Algorand's India strategy is divided into three components: expanding the Web3 developer community via educational programs and activities at educational institutions, supporting startups transitioning from Web2 to Web3, and establishing influential use case collaborations with central and state governments.
Through this project, Algorand will work with various Indian partners, such as the state of Maharashtra, the Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA), Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, the Indian School of Business, and T-Hub, to create NFTs, support women-led enterprises, launch faculty development programs, and provide support for startups.
